I have this also. Is there a resolution

I have the same problem. Notes 8.5.3FP6 SHF712. No Domino Server. I export the safe.ids file. Since my id is not yet expired I can send it to myself as an attachment. I open the attachment and go to Actions and select certify the attached file. I click OK on the Choose Certifier box. I get the not found in index screen and select Yes. I get the second index error indicating error accessing directory. I select yes to certify any way. I select certify on the next screen and then get the Field In Note Has Wrong Data type. The system status line indicated the certification was done but I do not get an updated file
